The new week on the first day back after half term, I have been preparing for an pecha kucha prep as I was nervous and worried on what I was going to include on the slides. The teacher decided to send me a copy of the template on teams to use as a guideline to follow up the way I would wanted to presented my ideas to the group. I have made a lots of research on how would my video will be but my first idea was to do an interview basic. Although this idea was not convenient as it’s will be unnecessary and simples as many people always does videos within interviews. My final intention is to created my videos within a role play that could get young people interested and engages so that they can have the opportunity to act a specific role in the video. I have used most of my ideas from the research essay as I have managed to change my mind by developing a video on role play basic instead of interviews as it won’t be a great solution. I have added those ideas on my pecha kucha and proposal document explaining the concept in details to ensure that I don’t changed my mind eventually.
Week 2 of 03.03.25-06.03.25
On the second week, I opened a PowerPoint document to start collecting all of my ideas and suggestions together. Although, I did able to make a presentation slides as I have lost the latest copy of my work and I have to start again. But I did remember most of the ideas I have came up with. Before, I could tried to present my pitch, I wanted to write down all the notes I would wanted to explain in detail to my class. However, I was lucky that I was able to limit the time I have left and typed all of my notes on a word document to ensure I will intelligent that I will pronounce them correctly. For my filming process, i have decided to developed an storyboard using canvas to make sure that I know what I was doing and how would the story planning process come along. I was pleased that the plans were working exactly how I imagined it to be. I was still continuing with the pitch presentation as I have add a few original imagery of my own included: a picture of my phone, a photo of my boyfriend and his friends to represent the impact of relationship within technology. On the account of the way technology affects relationships in teenagers in the society so I was thinking why not added those photos as things I would add on the items as experimentation. I have written half a script on that day to give me an overview on the method to infer the way I would my acting play be produced.
Week 3 of 10.03.25-13.03.25
During the current week, I have made a start to the poster experimentation on the ideas that I could include as the final piece. Regardless of how the experience was as I have limited original images of my own. I have placed an image of my boyfriend to represent my target audience. And also a globe where I have used the a paints brush on adobe illustrator to cover the corners of the picture to assist me on the way the poster looks like. However, I will collect more original images in the mean times that links to my unit 12 essay. I have in mind that I will use 20 slides in total to shared and adapt my ideas in order but restricted them to 19 slides instead. I want to make the topics that I have picked and explored more creative with a lot of acting skills that young people are having fun talking to their friends through messages and face to face meetings. Thanks that I didn’t present my pecha kucha to the class yet this week as I will waited until i am ready to let my emotions and thoughts to the side. Hopefully I will engage them in the coming weeks or so to keep me updated. I would say that I have opened a new word document to start writing up my script on the subject matter as I have included six people include three girls and three boys. One of the boys will be my boyfriend and his friend from outside of college that would be part of the role play. And the rest of them will be some people from my class if they think they would want to be involved. I was running out of time and ideas on the people that will be in my video as I have informed one of my classmates to ensure that they are available on the day I will be filming.
Week 4 of 17.03.25-20.03.25
Paid 3 pounds for the Tim exhibition trip that is coming up in two weeks time on the 3rd April.This week has been tough week for me as I was struggling to search people that would take part in my video. I need to start collecting images of my close friends from outside of college but maybe during the easter holiday, I feel like meeting up with my friends and starting planning out how to arranges a set up timeline for the filming. I know I will continue recording a short film or video but doing it in a different location. I refer that I didn't want to change the product ideas like it's was for unit 9 as it's will be unnecessary. I have informed my close friends from outside of college to arranged to meet up in the easter holiday as her and other people are getting involved in the acting. Luckily, I was able to book a slot for a camera to use from the media technician for a test try to use if it's would work probably and effective. However, on the last week before easter, I will collected a camera again to use to film my video during the upcoming holiday since this is the plan I was recommend. I have decided to plan and continue with the filming during the easter holiday as planned. I have looked for a suitable place in London to start recording which is either Harrow or Central London. Continue using adobe illustrator, I have used more of my original imagery to design the final poster. Over the holiday, I have collected more images as certain to continued gathering more photo evidences to add on the poster experimentation. I have messaged my friend to let her know the arrangements so I don't have delay the time and places we are meeting. For making multiple posters such as adding a photos of my phone and an image of my mates to represent friendship and how close to get friends both face to face and online. I make sure that this schedule was a better fit as I really wanted to create a short video which I was keen of doing in the next couple of weeks.
Week 5 of 24.03.25- 27.03.25
This week, I have continued with the poster experimentation on Abode Illustrator to came up with other way to create my final design. I have informed one of my friends in college to whether if they wanted to take part in the video. Incase, the arrangement during the easter break doesn't occur to plan out. One of my close friend from outside of college, I wanted them to be involved in a video in our local area but one of them are not in the holiday. It is more likely that it's might not happen at the break but the offer would keep on hold. Other option is that I could informed one of my friends from college to keep the video experimentation going so that my friends will hopefully said yes to get involved. At the moment, I have messaged them and waiting for their responses. On Monday, I have messaged the media department to borrow a camera for a test try and hang it back to the office the next day. going to an open day event this Friday starting from 12pm. I hoping to get people from the LMA to get involved in a short film. I willing to take photos of other students when I get to the department as part of my final poster.
Week 6 of 31.03.25- 03.04.25
This week was very short notice that there was a different arrangement for Monday and Tuesday lesson. For our teacher that is usually in on those two days has went for a annual leave so most of my classmates have the choice to come in for the afternoon a lesson to those who are doing either maths or english to continues doing their main course work in the Mac room. I managed to do some catch up work on Monday to continued with the poster experimentation to came up with other ideas for the design. After English yesterday, I have to decide to go home to send the rest of my day resting as it's been a tough day. The plan for those two days wasn't planned and arranged as lot of people were stressed out and annoyed like it's was a waste of time as they should have informed us earlier or a day before. In today lesson, I opened another document from Adobe Illustrator to design a different poster by using an images of my friend and I that knew for several years. I informed my friend from college whether she will be free to take part as she does art and design. Unfortunately, my friend won’t be available so I’m going to switch it up a bit by recording an audio of myself explaining the good and bad about technology. I have also performed my pecha kucha to the class but some people couldn’t hear me as I was struggling with the tone of voice and I was feeling sick and couldn’t breathe which is the result on how I couldn’t speak properly and clear to the audience. On the last day of term before Easter holiday, year 2 creative media and some games design students went to Tim burton exhibition in design museums to explore and discover his work in film history and I have enjoyed the experience. During my visit, I have collected between 20-60 photos from all floors on different rooms. I liked how they show the ways Tim invented the film genre from the 60s to present. There was a variety of film that he has created over the years examples Alice in wonderland, Chinese movies, Batman 1957, Edward scissors-hand and etc. A quite of horror and dynamic comedy that are scary but funny in a dark and spooky atmosphere.
Week 7 of 04.04.25-21.04.25 - Easter holiday
During the current Easter two weeks break, my friend was willing and generous to share her thoughts on the subject matter of my topic even if it wasn’t the best plan me and her wanted as we thought we would to discuss the role play ideas instead. Currently, there wasn’t many people at the time of the event which was impressive that people won’t disturbed me or the candidate. I couldn’t just give up and change my product as I have consistently been working hard to plan and deliver the best outcomes of the filming experience. Me and my friend went to a local park and started gathering some solutions to back up the way we wanted the audio recording to be looking like. We started meeting each other near Aldi in the area but my friend quickly went to the bank to draw out money for the day. Then we head to Roe Green Park to walk around and have a conversation. Before, we could find a clear and less narrow view to take the recording and collect useful photos as my original imagery. We needed to confirm that no one was around or making noise during the time of the filming as it could wreak havoc the audio clip. I have used my iPhone 11 to record the amount of minutes for the audio that doesn’t disrepair the voices from two people. I was happy and satisfied with the results but there was some bops error from there in the record which most of the speech was understandable and crystal clear. I was still sick at the time of the recording as my throat was sore and feeling like i couldn’t breath so did my friend was also going through with the same situation. But manage to capture the moment of the audio in a positive way. I have provides a clear message of the sound from my friend as she has a solid voice but bop in the road at the beginning where she has coughed it out to start over again by alerting me to start recording so that we don’t waste time or rush through the process to avoid mistakes. I have read out the questions to my friend and she delivered a well detailed response for each statements that I have confirmed to her which makes the results more interesting and magnificent. On Thursday 10th April 2025, I had waited for my friend near an area where we meet when she texted me on my phone to confirm the plan. We went to the park as I looked for a nearby tree to get started as it’s takes nearly ten minutes to take the process in. The recording audio takes about one hour and half to complete and ensure that the sound was efficiently performed. By the time, we finished recording it’s was almost 15 mins to 5 between 4:45pm to 5pm that most of the part was covered. It’s carried us ages to find an estimated time to finish simply managed to contain everything we needed for me to started editing the footage.

She definitely said she has tried her very best to communicate and complete the task to ensure that we won’t be stuck in the location all day without any improvements for the conversation.
Week 8 of 23.04.25-24.04.25-Bank holidays on 21.04.25 and 22.04.25
This week just came back from the easter holiday and I have upload the final poster design to my blogger. As I feel like the poster represents the concept of the subject matter and reconnect from the outside world and inside. I opened illustrator to continue doing some finish touches to the poster before I could upload the final design to blogger. I have made a start to the video experimentation using adobe premiere pro as I already have the footage that I have created during the break with my friend. During the editing process, I was struggling to add the footage and the poster one by one to avoid the mistake. However, the recording was good when it s was on the timeline but cut out the part where there was a word mistake during the conversation. I want to ensure that I have manage my time while editing and not to rush through a few weeks before the deadline.The week has cut short as I have returned this Wednesday with limited of time and arrangement to move forward. I have researched Nigerian young people the way they use internet more often in the country. I have send the rough cut to my friend and I will continues sending to other people to receive more feedbacks. I was thinking of doing my first idea (the role play) to get it done and to inform other people in a different college to particular. When I send the rough cut to my friend, they said I should add background music to keep the clip interesting and entertaining.
Week 9 of 28.04.25-01.05.25
This is another week of experimenting and making the Final Cut of the video. But I am still doing some editing on premiere pro and use non copyright music that are upbeat to hype the video and the interview content so that it’s can be more creative and not boring for the viewers to listen. I have show stages of the progress from the poster to paste identifying how is my work is going. After receiving feedback from a friend, I have decided to keep both posters in my video and playing around with the music. I know that all this week, I will be finishing editing and uploading the final video online. I have finished editing my video on premiere pro and uploaded it on YouTube as unlisted for people got access to the link. The teacher gave out the feedback sheet with the part I had done well and the part that I need to improve. I made some improvement on the poster experimentation by changing the position of the main image. In class, I have created three new version of my poster after some feedbacks. I have learned from my mistakes that at the beginning, I could have created my poster as landscape format which I didn’t realise. It was a hardworking process that I used the same original image to continue experimenting and looking for some ideas that could help me. When I opened adobe illustrator, I used the previous image of my friend and I and came across a tool called image trace to use to edit some edges and parts of the picture. It’s came up with a list that could choose from by changing the colours of the background and the little shapes which it’s was the first time I have witnessed this that you could change the colour of the small shapes. First new update of the posters, I used some colours like blue and orange from the fabrics to represent the culture Nigeria. But made some changes again because from the layout of the poster position. I was exhausted and tired when doing this as I didn’t have enough energy and sleep but able to stay calm and continue working on the task. I’m happy that I am almost at the end of my project and was able to plan and time myself ahead to start my evaluation.

Monday 5th may 2025 is May Bank Holiday
This week, I have finished all of my products such as video and poster after a long 4 and a half months of research and planning on what to create and make depending on the outcome. I went to send and spread the final version to friends and they have delivered honest and nice comments. The final video went from 9 mins to 12 mins because of the background music effects which the track was only like 1-2 mins long. Over the couple of weeks, I have updated some new changes of the work development to the pages as evidence to ensure that I was doing the practical correctly. I promised that I would record my own voices and my friend to start editing some content that are convenient for me. I have decided after talking to my other friends it's was best to add sound effect, title and credits to arrange the part nicely. I have to redo some areas of writing up on the reflection on why I didn't use either full name for my project and used half of it. I got feedbacks from doing some corrections on the problem solving page by changing the language of the sentences to make some sense.

All in one: Poster and Audio Video Evaluation
My initial ideas for my final major project will be a one to one interview and poster work based on technology that affects young people. Before, I realised that we could pick our own topics based on any subject or project we wanted. My first idea was going to about the history of werewolves and how is it use in the media industry within film and tv making as it is one of my favourite topics. But I thought the target audience may not have interest in the topics as it's one of the scariest animals that hunt in the night but could be creative with senses. I have witnessed that FMP will be an area of interest of our choice that I have two examples in mind which are "Werewolves" and "Technology". Unfortunately, I have to select one idea that my target audience would get a quick response. I went forward to explore the topic by using google to collect information on the subject and looking for similar and useful videos. And searching into more details on the what topic and subject I want to investigate on. I made a short nine minutes interview with my friend from outside of college in a form of a communication and connecting with people in your space time. The interview audio is based on my friend that is the one answering the questions from me that is introducing the topic called technology. Before I could do this conference, I was planning to do a role play (acting) as planned from the research. But regrettably, it wasn't exactly the case that there was no actors getting involved and messaged me sooner due to how busy they were at the time of filming preparation. The other option which was taking in place is to set up a one to one interview with one of my friend from outside of college and she was happy to take part. I appreciate my friend for helping me out with the process of the interview when no one else did which was very generous and kind as my friend was able to said the most important statements that she could think of. As no one else wanted to get involved and help me out which I was feeling a bit stressed and ignored about.

Although, the final options was to explore more on technology where I came across a video of young people debating in a live tv show with hundred of people are watching from all over the world. I really enjoying taking tips on the negative and positive side of the internet as the young people arguing in a honest and excited way. I always want to be an podcaster director and filming director as it is one of my dreams to directing and interview people that you are familiar to bring the confidence and record a scene. I have experienced and learning from showcasing the life of recording a short length interview like it's was a real life job to do in the future. I always want to showcase the skills, to gather on what I had for years of recording and filming and develop a short recording and editing using premiere pro. I have notice that creating a short video is one of the best opportunities for me as film is one of my best strength in the media industry. The software that I have used in my project was premiere pro, the first time in a while that I have made of use from the software to collect items such as footages and music demo to help prepare for the upcoming version of the video thumbnail. It's was fun and excited to become a main host and asking the important questions and receiving feedbacks. The first candidate was someone in my circle but she was able to say their name before I said that name again. From surveying, a lots of people said that YouTube is one that they use the most with social media by watching little youtube shorts and videos that entertain them and keep it in the loop to balanced both socialise and work to keep an healthy life. Others have also said that, you shouldn't added information that is personal on the internet.

When I was experimenting, I made a few posters that my friend is the main focus of the topic using illustrator to have the sense of color choice yet at the end, I have made two-three choice but got some feedbacks and have to make some changes to the design which took a bit of time yet I was able to managed my time while updating new examples of my work to the blog. I could have used photoshop as it’s was one of the software that I had mostly used in the past. When I was doing my project proposal, I was ensuring that I will complete every task on the timetable a few weeks before the deadline so that I don't come during the last week to finish and catch up with tasks. I have created a poster and video using the software to develop those skills which was very enjoyable and impressive that I can get to use the filming platform all over again and enjoy making contents that I love. And I have use non copyright music which are TVARI-Tokyo cafe and non-copyright-music-331167-MP3 to add to the video so that the clip wasn't silent for the views and more upbeat atmosphere. I have made up some useful names that goes well with the topics which are "new ways to reconnect," "think-tech," "creativity through technology," "act the role," "play the game," "tiktech," "love the content," "beyond tech," "digital connection," "think before you creativity with visual" which was very inspiring to collect and made up the name but I have changed the last name of visual to digital from the name "think before creativity with visual" as people may not know the meaning of the original name that I have choice. My target demographic was young people from ages 18-21 as I made some search on the effect within young people life and wellbeing that those categories are more likely to suffer heartbreak and something that they found harmful and dangerous that could disturb their sleep patterns. I think people in my friends group will be the product that I have made as its's shows the common message of the concept and how to let young people know that they should take some time using their devices and taking an break by doing other activities to reduce the stress and protect their wellbeing. The problem I have encountered was that the footages didn't import probably and show an error message which I was struggling to reload the clip again but it was still the same issue which was a lot of hardworking to fix. I have resolve the issue by going back to the software to export the file to see if the problem will be resolve but luckily, it was able to do the situation correctly by uploading the footage clip over again until I was able to handle it. And I have almost lost my footage while I was editing because I didn't save the file sooner or save it to a different position of the file to another section. The skills I have developed was to take screenshot of images that was helpful and knowing what stages of the project I am currently doing and to collect images of my own from previous outing with a few friends that would be perfect for the concept. I was glad that I have still got the images of two friends going out for a event which is the way of creativity and communication with people. To edit and add track to the software to create an interactive and interesting thumbnail to show my audience on the way technology works and inspires them. The process was very easy to deal with such as premiere pro was one of the simple app to use when it comes to do with editing and selecting some music. Filming and Editing is one of my strongest strength as I have watched videos and experienced filming in the past and quickly take those skills in minutes and observe old videos and film to help me develop my own version. The part where it was unsuccessful when I have to switch the main photo around or open up a landscape portrait during the poster experimentation which I didn't realized at first. The audience feedbacks really help me a lot throughout my project by receiving feedbacks from someone on my rough cut to improve the video more by adding melody but I forgot to add transitions and had that in mind. I already know that when you create a rough cut and you need to add music when someone mention it the first time. If I have a chose to change my topic, I would do it on Nigerian music or Nigerian art works which make sense since it's very common in the country. I would have to collect more elements if I was continuing with Nigerian culture.
